Oh! what a night.......................

Yes it's me (preen! preen!)
feeling very honoured and proud at the CEeC Internet Gala Ball at the
Midland Hotel in Manchester
(CEeC stands for 'Center of Expertise in Electronic Commerce')

ceec-award1.JPG

phew! were my knees knocking :-)

I didn't know I was expected to speak but I thanked everyone of you who have ever sent me an e-mail because it's you that's kept me going - and still do.

I've not a clue what else I said!

Standing just behind me is Alan Hartley Smith (from CEeC)
and the guy over to the right is Peter Taylor) who's a top dog (but a very nice man!) at the Royal Mail. If you are reading this Peter I've got an e-commerce idea for the Post Office.

4 of us won different awards

I know it's cheesy but I can't help it. Thats me in the red top (no... not the waistcoat, I'm the little one of the bunch) The long haired lady to the left of me is Candace James-Blessing from Net Nannies who won the 'New Business' award

ceec-award3.JPG

More cheesy stuff
The man on the left is Bill Daring from KMP Internet who got an award for most innovative website - I must take a look at that one!

On the left is Henrik Kihlberg from the Institute for Media Technology in Sweden who got an award for best paper presented at the Conference "Lifting the Lid on the Black Box: What's Going On with Internet Valuations" I'll read it and just hope I understand it.

That's Linda Macaulay on the far left -Director of CEeC and Conference Chair and just crept in on the photo sitting down on the right (looking dapper in his dickie) is my long suffering husband - Lincoln.

Thanks for having a look. I wish you could all have been there - it felt like the Oscars :-)
I'll add more to this as soon as I get the chance ....
